As the skin ages, two types of wrinkles can develop – static and dynamic. While static wrinkles are visible even while the face is at rest, dynamic wrinkles occur as a result of repeated muscle contractions and facial expressions. Static wrinkles are proven to respond better to dermal fillers, but BOTOX® can effectively smooth and relax the dynamic wrinkles around your eyes and forehead.
Botox - Xeomin - Dysport - Newtox - Wrinkle Relaxers
Nakai offers several different options for relaxing muscles and helping smooth out skin. There are also several other procedures we can use them for which include, facial slimming, sweating, gummy smiles, lip flip, and severe headaches.
Clients must be seen in order to give an accurate estimate for cost. Age, skin care, sun exposure, genetics all play a factor in the amount of units needed to achieve the clients desired goal. Preferences such as areas treated, flexibility of area, desire for expressions or frozen look, metabolism all play additional roles for quoting units.
What’s the difference?
The primary difference between Botox, Xeomin, Dysport, and Newtox is how quickly the full results will be shown and also cost. In order of quickest to longest onset of desired smoothing of wrinkles, Dysport, Xeomin, Newtox, & Botox. Our policy is not to add any additional wrinkle release for at least a full two weeks post injections, as some muscles may take longer to respond.
Xeomin is a client favorite at Nakai. The draw from clients is the flexibility that it leaves, a less “heavy” feel, no preservatives, and is also egg free so people with egg allergies are a candidate for Xeomin.
Expected duration of these products is 3-5 months, all products are quoted in units. Dysport requires twice as many units as the others, due to the way it is reconstituted.
Nakai Wellness Med Spa takes our clients safety seriously, only FDA approved cosmetic injectables are used.
